Spring Break Blast Camp

Blast Camps are fun, week-long camps in which students experience what it takes to put on a musical theatre performance. They build confidence by rehearsing a short script written specifically for RMTC, and they perform at the end of the week in front of a supportive community of family and friends. By engaging in preparing for a performance, students learn discipline and memorization skills that they can take with them to their scholastic work.

This week’s original script is The Fantasmagorical Machine, which uses the classic songs of the Sherman Brothers (composers of Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) in an all-new adventure. A mysterious traveler whisks lonely kids away in his magical flying machine, but is he friend or foe? Paige isn’t sure, but she does know one thing. It’s up to her to help the rest of the kids get back to their parents before it’s too late.

This opportunity is for interested students ages 7-12; students do not need to audition. The camp runs March 28-April 1, from 9am-4pm. Tuition is $300.
