Space One Eleven Summer Camps

Summer Art Camps at Space One Eleven are a perfect way for young artists to learn a new art form or improve upon their art skills! These camps give young artists ample time to dive into their projects, make friends, and create works of art ready for the end of summer art exhibition in Space One Eleven’s art galleries. Rising 2nd through 5th graders paint, draw, and sculpt to create works of art influenced by artists from Alabama. Rising 6th through 12th graders select from a variety of camps in the medium of their choice. Examples include Drawing, Sculpture, Fashion, Ceramics, Printmaking, and Portfolio Development. Camp enrollment is limited to 15 young artists per studio to ensure individual attention and a supportive studio environment. Camps for rising 2nd–5th graders also include teen volunteers who assist in the studio and help support younger students. Tuition is offered on a sliding scale. Families may qualify for free or reduced rates thanks to the support of local foundations and individual contributors. All camps meet Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Camps for younger artists meet for one week. Camps for rising 6th–12th graders may meet for either one or two weeks, depending on the art medium.
