On Saturday, February 7, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is celebrating what might be the best holiday ever: Ice Cream for Breakfast Day.
The holiday began back in the 1960s, when Florence Rappaport, a mom in New York, declared it “Ice Cream for Breakfast Day” as a way to entertain her six kids. The next year, the kids reminded her, and so the tradition began. Ice Cream for Breakfast Day is always celebrated on the first Saturday of February, and the rules are simple:
- Eat ice cream.
- On the first Saturday of February.
- For breakfast.
Jeni’s has since embraced the tradition—firmly believing ice cream should be enjoyed before noon. (We agree too!)

Why You Should Visit Jeni’s:
- Why have regular coffee when you could have the newly reimagined House Coffee-flavored ice cream?
- Maple Soaked Pancakes is back for a limited time—an ice cream flavor made with real Vermont maple syrup and salted buttercream. Best breakfast ever!
- Your kids can secure in-shop surprises, including kids’ activity sheets, stickers, and festive extras.
- You could win free ice cream and coffee for a year — guests can enter by signing up for Jeni’s app and scanning in-shop as part of the Ice Cream for Breakfast Day giveaway.

Spilling the Tea on the New Sweet Bridgerton Flavors
While you’re there, be sure to try the new Bridgerton flavors. Bridgerton’s 4th season just dropped, so they’re celebrating with a flavorful collab with Jeni’s. Here’s the “inside scoop” on what flavors they’re offering and why you need to try them:
Eat like royalty with Queen Charlotte Sponge Cake—it’s rich and indulgent, with honey sponge cake, bright raspberry-rose jam, and almond buttercream—all wrapped up in Her Majesty’s favorite shade of lavender.
Then on February 12, enjoy a mid-season pick-me-up with Bridgerton-themed flavor Earl Grey Crème Brûlée. Jeni’s is turning the afternoon tea ritual into an ice cream with a silky custard base and burnt-sugar candies that give that freshly torched crème brûlée taste.
