Are you a tutor, speech therapist, ABA therapist, occupational therapist, curriculum provider, or music teacher in Alabama? Did you know that you can apply to be an education service provider for the Creating Hope and Opportunity for Our Students’ Education (CHOOSE) Act program? The CHOOSE Act makes education savings accounts (ESAs) available to support the success of eligible K–12 students in Alabama.

An ESA can be used to pay for tuition, educational therapies, online classes, tutoring, and other qualified educational expenses through approved education service providers (ESPs).  Becoming a CHOOSE Act-approved ESP expands your reach and impact, allowing you to serve more families who may not otherwise afford your services. It also increases your visibility by listing your organization on the CHOOSE Act website and within participating families’ online profiles. Significant resources are currently being invested in promoting the CHOOSE Act, making this a prime opportunity to get involved.

To learn more about the application process for ESPs and understand how the exchange of funds works, visit the CHOOSE Act website: chooseact.alabama.gov. There, you can find a detailed ESP guide, the link to the application, and other resources. Please email cduren@alosf.org with any questions you may have!
