Spring into Easter shopping at the Cottontail’s Village shopping event at the BJCC this weekend, March 6–8. Birmingham’s most popular spring shopping event will showcase over 500 local, regional and national vendors with all of the spring essentials, from items for holiday hosting (hello, Easter lunch!) to home decor for special occasions like Mother’s Day, graduation, and more. It will feature arts, crafts, and gifts galore, with special appearances from the Easter Bunny and hourly drawings for Bunny Bucks.
“Cottontail’s Village heralds the arrival of spring in Birmingham after an especially wintry start to the new year. It’s a vibrant three days packed with colorful springtime magic to get guests ready for the seasonal transition,” says Kelsey Jackson, Assistant Show Manager. “Like our sister event the Christmas Village Festival, Cottontail’s is [one of] Birmingham’s longest running consumer events that’s become a multigenerational tradition for local families and friends who return year after year to create memories together with lots of fun photo opps, great shopping, and seasonal activities.”

WHAT TO EXPECT
If you’ve ever attended the Christmas Village Festival, you might have an idea of what Cottontail’s is like, but let me paint a picture: almost endless rows of booths overflowing with Easter décor, home goods, Easter basket fillers, trending fashion, tasty treats (many with samples!), and custom artisan products. Not to mention a meet-and-greet with the Bunny himself, making for the perfect photo op! I’m talking accessories for you, your kids, and your pet, art, beauty and health products (#homemadesoap), books, children’s toys, gadgets, clothing for all ages… the list goes on and on.
BUNNY PERKS
Each hour of the shopping event, one lucky guest will win $25 in Bunny Bucks, accepted by all show vendors like cash. One daily grand prize of $100 is also given each day of the show. Even if you don’t win, chances are, you’ll still save big, because many vendors offer exclusive show offers. Plus, Cottontail’s Village guests get the chance to purchase VIP tickets to this year’s Christmas Village Festival. (Never too early to start planning, right?!)
WHEN TO GO
Friday, March 6: 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
Saturday, March 7: 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
Sunday, March 8: Noon–5 p.m.
Early Shoppers get in an hour before all the chaos starts each day—so if you prefer to shop without the hustle and bustle, these early hours are for you! (And it’s only $1 more… definitely worth it.)
TICKETS
General admission tickets are $13 each for ages 13 and up, and tickets for ages 6–12 are $5 each. Children under 5 are free, so don’t let a little one in a stroller stop you from shopping! If you’re looking to save a little money, buy your tickets in a 4-pack, which makes them only $8.25 per ticket. Early Shopper tickets are $14 each.
Tickets are cheaper online, but if you forget, no worries! You can still buy your tickets at the box office when you arrive. Visit cottontailsfestival.com to order tickets and discover more about the event, including the full list of vendors. This is one shopping event you won’t want to let hop away.
