What makes YMCA Summer Day Camp different?
At the YMCA we believe that all kids should have access to unforgettable summers. That’s why we offer financial assistance for all levels of need. Working families love our before and after care 7–9 a.m. and 4–6 p.m., all included in your weekly rate.
What is an average day like?
We offer unmatched variety! Morning rallies, crafts, sports & games, swimming, STEM, slime, weekly themes and more, to name a few. Campers will experience daily opportunities to select which games, crafts, or activities they participate in.
How do you keep campers safe?
Central Alabama families have trusted us for decades knowing safety is our #1 priority. We are a Praesidium Accredited organization, which publicly demonstrates to consumers that the YMCA of Greater Birmingham has achieved the highest industry standards in abuse prevention. Our staff undergo rigorous training in child development, first aid, conflict resolution
and child abuse prevention.
Where is camp?
We serve at locations across Jefferson and Shelby Counties, including Greystone, Hoover, Pelham, Shades Valley, Trussville, Roebuck, Downtown, and school-based sites for students within Homewood & Trussville City Schools.
