BuildUP Community School is a private school in the Titusville/Ensley area that provides an alternative approach to learning and establishing a prosperous future for students and their community. BUCS is designed to graduate students with not just a high school diploma but also an associates degree and certifications in the construction field over the course of six (6) years. After graduation, the students attend a 4-year-institution and achieve a bachelor’s degree, acquire a job making at least $40,000 a year, or start their own business.
Following those years of learning and personal investment which is six (6) years in total, they are given the keys to a zero interest mortgage on a home of which they helped renovate and restore as students in the Titusville/ Ensley area. This approach to learning and empowering is transformational for students and their communities helping create generational wealth and neighborhood revitalization.
