We are the state affiliate of the national Family Voices organization. Through this national network, we work to provide families tools to make informed decisions, advocate for improved public and private policies, build partnerships among professionals and families, and serve as a trusted resource on health care. Family Voices of Alabama is also home to our state's Family to Family Health Information Center, funded by a grant from HRSA and the Maternal and Child Health Bureau. We can assist families as they maneuver through the maze of services by providing information on available state and local resources.
We offer several products free of charge to families of children/youth with special health care needs and/or disabilities including: Care Notebook, Transition to Adult Health Care guide, The ABC's of Partnering with Your Health Care Provider and more. We also host an annual conference for families and providers, the Partners in Care Summit. (hopefully will return in 2022!)
We know the importance of families being connected to others who have walked in their shoes, and can make those connections when desired.
