Run to make an impact at the Impact Road Race, returning to Oak Mountain State Park on Saturday, October 4. The event helps raise support for Seeds of Impact, a nonprofit focused on helping parents break addictive cycles by providing trauma-informed parenting education and long-term support. “By speaking life into their journeys, we provide education on healthy parenting foundations, clear goals, and effective strategies that empower them to create lasting change,” their website states.
Last year, the Impact Road Race helped support more than 50 mothers and 100 children, contributing to Seeds of Impact’s total impact of 40 classes, 417 families, 1,082 children, and 352 books to date. “Every step in this race represents hope and healing for families in our community,” says Rachel Gunn, Executive Director of Seeds of Impact and author of Impact Parenting. “When participants show up, they walk alongside moms and children who are rebuilding their lives together.”
