There’s something so special about receiving a valentine! Children’s of Alabama is celebrating Valentine’s Day this year with free valentines—and you can join in and send one digitally in just 30 seconds! Brighten a child’s day by sending a free Valentine’s Day greeting card to a patient, courtesy of Spire, a sponsor of Children’s.

Kids at Children’s can’t have the traditional Valentine’s candy, stuffed animals, handmade cards, or homemade goodies—there’s too much of a risk of infection, so Children’s can’t accept any in-person gift donations. But don’t worry—you can still spread love without spreading germs by visiting childrensal.org/valentines and selecting one of the three food-inspired card designs:
- “I like you a WAFFLE lot!”
- “I value our friendCHIP”
- Happy Valentine’s Day CUTIE!”
It’s simple and quick—just choose your card, include your name and email, and hit submit. Hospital staff will hand out the valentines to patients on Friday, February 13. It doesn’t matter whether you know someone or not—they’re passing them out to all of the pediatric patients. You can also donate money to Children’s and Spire, who is sponsoring the card drive, will match all gifts up to $5,000 through February 14th. So take a second and send a valentine—you’ll never know how much joy you bring to the child who opens it!
