Test your luck with these fun kid-friendly games and activities while getting in the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day this year! Plus, add these local events to your calendar.

Lucky Leprechaun Hunt

Download a St. Patrick’s Day scavenger hunt list or create your own, then make it a race for each family member to complete. Whatever you include in your hunt, whether it’s “something green,” “a gold coin,” or “a four leaf clover,”  make sure you have it in the house before you begin!

Lucky Guessing Game

Fill a jar with candy & have everyone write down their guess of how many pieces are inside. Whoever’s guess is the closest gets to keep the candy for themselves!

I Spy Something Green

If it’s a dreary day, have everyone identify all of the green items throughout the house. Work as a team or individually in a competition to see who can spot the most green. If the sun is shining, though, encourage your kids to go outside to play I Spy! There are all kinds of green things outdoors in nature. See if they can find a 4 leaf clover.

St. Patrick’s Day Trivia

Use this list of trivia questions to test your kids’ knowledge and educate them in a fun way about who St. Patrick was and how the holiday came to be.

Shamrock Bingo

Print off free shamrock bingo cards or make your own by drawing a 5×5 square table (25 squares total). Fill each of the squares with an Irish word, such as “Gold,” “Leprechaun,” “Shamrock,” or “St. Patrick.” Make a list of all of the words, then call out words in random order. Bingo players can place a green button (or edible chocolate gold coin!) on the corresponding square. Whenever someone has 5 in a row, they call out “Bingo!”

Gold Coin Hunt

Hide individually wrapped edible gold coins all around the house and give the kids five minutes to find the coins and add them to their own “pot of gold.” Whether they work together or against each other, the only incentive they need to play is to “sweeten the pot” with more chocolate!

Sugar at the End of the Rainbow

The best coins to find at the end of our rainbow are sugary and chocolate-filled… just like these St. Patrick’s Day treats that are pure gold! Trust us when we say you are *mint* to bake them. Whether you and your kids are hoping for the chocolatey goodness of a mint chocolate brownie or the crunch of a Lucky Charms rice Krispy treat, these sweet desserts are fun and easy, and you’re sure to get lucky with something you (and the kids) will love to eat!
