Maybe it’s not a fair assumption, but often I associate turbo with using more fuel. And, usually I’m right. Not this time. Volkswagen gives consumers a family car choice with sporty good looks, above average gas mileage and much more.
Exterior and Interior
Exterior features aren’t fancy, but certainly aren’t shabby either. Automatic headlights, rain-sensing front wipers, heated side mirrors and a power tilting and sliding sunroof are other niceties that make this family car a little more upscale.
Step inside the Jetta and feel the comfortable and heated leatherette seats. Also, note that the driver’s seat is equipped with power and lumbar support. The leather-trimmed steering wheel has paddle shifters, as well as other common fingertip controls, i.e. cruise control. The interior rounds out with dual-zone climate control and rear seats featuring a split-fold configuration option.
Tech Savvy
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the Jetta’s many technology amenities. I feel so much safer with the invention of the rear backup camera, not to mention blind-spot monitoring, Bluetooth Connectivity and more. The Jetta also has a Fender premium audio system, touchscreen navigation, cruise control and park assist.
Parting Thoughts
There are lots of exciting automobiles in today’s marketplace. The 2017 Volkswagen Jetta is one of the most affordable, practical choices for small families (one or two children) who are on the go. Fuel economy is attractive and allows for more trips through the car pool line, sporting events and to the zoo per tank of gas. As common with Volkswagen products, the drive and handling are more than sufficient.
Are you in the market for a new family vehicle? Take a look at the Jetta. It’s got pep with that turbo engine and the LATCH system in the rear seats to keep precious cargo safe. What more do you really need?
