Top gamers from Birmingham-area high schools competed against the U.S. Navy’s esports team, Goats & Glory on March 5 in Birmingham.

The event was live-streamed nationwide on the America’s Navy Twitch channel https://www.twitch.tv/americasnavy.
“Esports requires teamwork, split-second decision making, and effective communications under pressure, which are all integral to Navy life. We expect the students to be tough competition,” says Lieutenant Aaron Jones, captain of Goats & Glory.
The Navy’s Goats & Glory esports team was established in 2020 to provide a platform for people from all walks of life to engage with Sailors and learn more about the range of opportunities the Navy provides, while sharing a mutual passion for gaming. This will be the first time Goats & Glory has competed against student gamers from the Birmingham area.
