Ever Wonder How They Make Those Great Towel Elephants on Cruises?
Finding a perfectly-made towel animal on your freshly-made bed is a universal symbol that you’re onboard a much-anticipated cruise, like a tropical getaway with Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line! Even though traveling is on hold for now, there aren’t any limitations for recreating your favorite towel animals with family or the kids for a mental escape all within the safety of your home.
How to make a towel elephant
- Difficulty: Beginner
- Materials: 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel
Step 1: Lay the bath towel flat in a ‘landscape’ orientation.
Step 2: Roll the towel from the top and bottom until they meet in the middle, forming a double “scroll” look.
Step 3: Fold the “scroll” so that the rolls are facing “out.” (This forms the body and legs of the elephant.)
Step 4: Grab your hand towel and lay it flat.
Step 5: Fold the top two corners into the middle forming a triangle in the middle.
Step 6: Roll the right and left edges to meet in the middle.
Step 7: Pick up the towel and pull down the front piece. Then fold the “ears” out to create elephant ears.
Step 8: Place the head on to the body.
Step 9: Leave out on your bed as a lovely surprise and personal touch for family or the kids to enjoy!
