Our 13th Year of Family Favorites Awards
Birmingham Parent’s 2019 Family Favorites Awards are BACK! We’ve got some new categories, some surprise winners, and some old favorites.
It’s surprising how much some businesses covet the honor. They ask their clients, friends and family to vote, put up signs and request the votes on the web and social media. Last year we had a record number of votes, and this year we even surpassed that!
This tells you how much your opinion matters, and how important you are to the businesses and services that you use. This contest is all about you and what your favorites are. Unlike other contests, we don’t nominate anyone. The contest is completely reader driven, and whoever wins, wins. And many of these categories are so very close.
Keep this guide all year and use it when you need to make a decision about a purchase, doctor, trip, or whatever your family needs help with. (And don’t miss voting in our Favorite Kids Docs, online now at www.birminghamparent.com. Nominees will be highlighted in December 2019).
Just like the last few years, we’ve organized the Family Favorites winners in categories to make reading easier, and you can access the digital edition of this guide all year at www.birminghamparent.com. The next voting will begin in January 2020, so tell your clients, family and friends!
ALSO in this issue is our third annual Little Learners Preschool Guide. Don’t miss getting some advice from the experts on what to ask when looking for the right preschool for your child.
And be sure to save the date for our Happy Healthy Kids Fair at the Riverchase Galleria on Aug. 24, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We’ll have local entertainment, swag bags, great prizes, vendors with great products and services, and many surprises.
Happy 4th of July! Celebrate safely!
